Over the past several weeks, we have sent you advisories to inform you of Citi’s agreement with UnionBank of the Philippines (UnionBank) regarding the acquisition of Citi’s consumer business, and we requested for your consent to transfer your Citibank deposit account(s), including the accounts used to settle your CFSI brokerage transactions, and safe deposit box(es), if applicable (collectively, the “Accounts”), to UnionBank. As of this writing, we have not received your response.
Please be advised that we will need your response on or before May 31, 2022. If we do not receive a response from you, and subject to no objection from the regulator, we will transfer your account(s) to UnionBank on a deemed consent basis to ensure that your account(s) continue to be serviced on an uninterrupted basis. As such, should you (a) fail to reply or expressly object to the proposed transfer, or (b) continue to avail of the services under the relevant customer agreements, you will be deemed to have consented to the transfer and to have full knowledge of, and acceded to, the transfer.
If you expressly object to the transfer of your Accounts to UnionBank, please contact us through any of the following channels on or before May 31, 2022 to signify your objection:
• contacting your Relationship Manager/Personal Banker
• calling CitiPhone at 8995 9999 (Metro Manila and other provinces) or 234 9999 (Cebu)
• visiting the branch
