Available Bank Alerts

These are account-specific alerts that sends notifications about your bank account activity through email or SMS or both. You may enrol in a wide range of alerts depending on transactions you frequently do.

If you have a Savings or Checking Account:
Bounced Checks An advisory if a Citibank® N.A. Philippines check you issued bounced.
Return Unpaid Checks An advisory if a check deposited to your account has been returned due to insufficient funds.
Large Deposit A notification every time a large deposit of at least $3,000 or its Peso equivalent (approximately Php150,000) is posted to your bank account.
Large Debit An update if a large debit of at least $3,000 or its Peso equivalent (approximately Php150,000) is posted to your bank account.
Salary Credit A confirmation that your salary has been credited to your account (for companies with payroll accounts provided by Citibank® at Work only).
Account Balance An update every Friday of your current and available account balance.
Large Online Payment/Transfer A notification every time there is funds transfer or online payment charged to your account.
Large ATM Withdrawal A notification every time a large withdrawal has been made from your ATM account.
If you have a Time Deposit:
Time Deposit Maturity A reminder that will be sent before the maturity of your Time Deposit account.
Time Deposit Rollover An update when your time deposit has matured and the funds have been rolled over.
If you pay bills or have standing instructions online:
Setup New Payee A notification that will be sent when you set up a new payee through Citibank® Online.
Standing Instruction Failure An advisory when your Standing Instruction in Citibank® Online has failed.

Available Credit Card Alerts

These are account-specific alerts that sends notifications about your credit card accounts through email or SMS or both. You may enrol in a wide range of alerts depending on credit card transactions or information you want to receive.

Payment Due An update on your credit card statement date, total amount due, minimum amount due, and payment due date 5 days before your payment is due.
Payment Confirmation A confirmation every time you make a payment.
Statement Amount Due A notification when your credit card statement of account has been generated.

  • Log in to your Citibank® Online account.
  • Click on Services > My Profile.
  • From the Citi® Alerts menu, select Manage Alerts.
  • Once prompted, enter your One-Time PIN to proceed with the Citi® Alerts set-up.
  • Check if your email and mobile phone number are updated.
  • To subscribe to new alerts, click Set Up Alert.
  • Select the Credit Card, Banking or Time Deposit alerts that you wish to subscribe to. Click Confirm to proceed with the enrollment.
  • Log in to your Citibank® Online account
  • Click on Services > My Profile.
  • From the Citi® Alerts menu, select Manage Alerts.
  • Once prompted, enter your One-Time PIN to proceed with the Citi® Alerts set-up.
  • Click on Edit Alerts. Select the alerts that you wish to subcribe or unsubscribe to.

You have a choice to receive your bank alerts through email, SMS or both. For general alerts about Citibank® N.A. Philippines products and services, these can be sent only through email. Fraud alerts are sent only through SMS.

For certain alerts, you can choose the frequency of the alert notification. You can decide to receive the messages regularly (i.e. every time an alert is triggered), once a day, once a week, or once a month.

This service is FREE. You do not have to pay to enroll or receive alerts.

Terms and Conditions:

OBTAINING GENERAL AND ACCOUNT SPECIFIC ALERTS THROUGH CITIBANK ALERTS SERVICE.

Citibank Alerts Service enables you to request and receive specific prompts (collectively, “Alerts”, individually, an “Alert”) from time to time concerning available account information and other matters relating to your Citibank Credit Cards and bank accounts (“Account(s)”). By signing up through Citibank Online or through our 24-Hour CitiPhone to receive one or more of the Alerts that are offered by the Citibank Alerts Service, you acknowledge that you are aware of and agree to abide by the following terms and conditions:

The Citibank Alerts Service allows you to request and receive text messages (“SMS”) and/or electronic mail (“e-mail”) messages about your Account(s). We send Alerts to you based upon the instructions you provide to us through Citibank Online or through our 24-Hour CitiPhone. These instructions include your correct email address or addresses and mobile phone number. Your instructions are neither reviewed nor verified by Citibank prior to or following activation of the Citibank Alerts Service. You hereby acknowledge and accept that each Alert may be sent to you without being encrypted and may include your name and information pertaining to your Account(s).

You may receive Alerts through an SMS-enabled mobile phone, an e-mail account that is accessed via a customer terminal, or both. It is your responsibility to ensure the security of your cellphone and e-mail account. Accordingly, you hereby hold Citibank free and harmless against any and all liability, administrative, civil or criminal, including, but not limited to, to those relating to secrecy laws or regulations, should any Alerts which may include your name and information pertaining to your Account(s) be viewed or accessed by persons other than yourself. It is your responsibility to determine if your mobile phone service provider supports text messaging, if your telephone is capable of receiving text messages or if your Internet service provider supports email service or if your customer terminal is capable of receiving email messages. Citibank Alerts Service is subject to the terms and conditions of your agreement(s) with your mobile phone carrier and/or Internet service provider. You are responsible for any fees imposed by your mobile phone service and Internet service provider of any kind whatsoever.

You acknowledge and agree that your receipt of any Alert may be delayed or prevented by factor(s) affecting your mobile phone service provider(s) or Internet service provider(s) and other factors outside our control. We neither guarantee the delivery nor the accuracy of the contents of each Alert. You agree to hold Citibank, its directors, officers, employees and agents free and harmless from any and all losses or damages, including attorneys’ fees, that may arise, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from:

  1. A non-delivery, delayed delivery, or the misdirected delivery of an Alert;
  2. Inaccurate or incomplete content in an Alert;
  3. Your reliance on or use of the information provided in an Alert for any purpose;
  4. Any third party, whether authorized or not, obtaining information on your Account(s) disclosed in the Alerts by accessing your e-mail account or cellphone.

The SMS and email are sent to you for convenience, information, notification and where applicable, demand purposes. An Alert does not constitute a record for the Account(s) to which it pertains. Citibank does not assume any additional responsibility or obligation under these Terms and Conditions in respect of the use of, or any transaction or eventuality involving, your Account(s). The service does not free you from the responsibility of safeguarding the physical security and authorized use of your Account(s). You acknowledge that the service is merely an aid to monitor the use of your Account(s) but subscription to the service does not entail that Citibank will automatically be liable for any unauthorized transactions that may be charged to your Account(s). The use of the service does not automatically entitle you to the Lost Card Protection of Citibank, N.A. Credit Cards. You acknowledge that it is still your responsibility to report a lost or stolen card immediately for you to be absolved from any financial liability in case the card is used for fraudulent purposes, from the time the loss is reported to the 24-Hour CitiPhone in accordance with the Terms and Conditions Governing the Issuance and Use of Citibank Credit Cards.

For lost or stolen ATM Card, Debit Card, and Citibank VISA/ MasterCard, you also acknowledge that you must immediately report the same by calling our 24-Hour CitiPhone. Citibank shall not be liable for any loss, damage or liability you shall suffer if the card is used for fraudulent purposes prior to the time its loss is reported to 24-Hour CitiPhone.

Citibank reserves the right to terminate its Citibank Alerts Service or begin charging a fee for such service at any time without prior notice to you.

By your subscription to the Citibank Alerts Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to the above terms and conditions, as well as to the Terms and Conditions Governing the Issuance and Use of Citibank Credit Cards, the Terms and Conditions Governing Citibank Philippine Accounts, and the Citibank Online Terms and Conditions.
