Terms and Conditions

  1. The Promo (“Promo”) will run from February 27, 2023 to April 21, 2023 (“Promo Period”):

    • Registration Period: February 27, 2023 to April 21, 2023.
    • Redemption Period: March 3, 2023 to June 21, 2023.
  2. The Promo is open to Principal cardholders of Citi Credit Cards (“Card”) that have been locally issued by Citibank, N.A. Philippine Branch (“Citi”), or its successor and assign, UnionBank of the Philippines (hereafter, all references to Citibank, N.A. Philippine Branch and use of “Citi” is understood to be references to UnionBank of the Philippines), and are active and in good credit standing with available relationship limit and account credit limit, as applicable, at the time of purchase and conversion; who have a registered valid and updated unique mobile number and unique email address with Citibank; who received an SMS and/or email from Citibank regarding this particular promo offer; and who are not prohibited under applicable Gifts, Anti-Bribery and Corruption laws, regulations, and policies from participating in and/or qualifying for this Promo (“Cardholder”).

    Incumbent government officials or employees, whether elected or appointed, corporate accounts and US persons (i.e., a citizen or lawful resident, green card holder of the United States of America) are not eligible to participate in this Promo.

    This promo is not available to individuals resident in the European Union, European Economic Area, Switzerland, Guernsey, Jersey, Monaco, San Marino, Vatican, The Isle of Man or the UK.

  3. Officers and employees of Citibank N.A Philippine Branch, employees of Union Bank of the Philippines, its advertising and PR agencies, and of its third party and service providers (Giftaway, Inc.), with direct involvement in the launch of the Promo, are not eligible to participate in the Promo.
  4. It is the responsibility of the Cardholder to update his/her contact information with Citibank by calling CitiPhone at (02) 8995-9999 or its successor phone service. Cardholders whose contact information in Citibank’s records are not updated, who have the same mobile/phone number or email address as another cardholder/account in Citi records, or who have opted out of receiving marketing communications from Citi based on Citi’s records, and new Cardholders (whose credit card account was opened and activated from January 31, 2023 onwards) will not receive the communication about the Promo and are not qualified or eligible to join.
  5. Promo Registration:

    1. To qualify for the Promo (“Promo”), the Cardholder must: register and create an account on the Promo website (www.gft.ph/bid) during the registration period. A unique Registration Code will be sent to him/her together with the promo website URL via an SMS/e-mail. Upon accessing the site, s/he must input his/her Registration Code, the last six (6) digits of his/her active Citi card, valid email address, and valid mobile number. Only one Registration Code will be given to a Cardholder regardless of the number of his/her qualified cards.
    2. To successfully register and create an account, the Cardholder must enter the correct registration code and correct last six (6) digits of his/her active Citi credit card. Only successfully registered accounts (where the Registration Code entered matches the correct last six (6) digits of active Citi card) will qualify for the Promo. Cardholders who successfully registered to join the Promo will receive an email confirmation at the email address they registered in the Promo website.
    3. Citi will not be able to change, reset, or alter any registration information once these are submitted by the Cardholder in the Promo website. The Cardholder shall be responsible for the safekeeping of his/her registration information.
    4. The Cardholder can start to bid for Auction items and redeem Flash Sale Items using their Points, Miles and Rebates after successfully registering and creating an account on the Promo website. Marketing Communications will be sent to cardholders to show items that will be available during the weekly Auction and Flash Sale.
    5. By registering for the Promo, the Cardholder:

      1. is responsible for, voluntarily providing, and consenting to provide his/her personal information and other information that may be required by Giftaway, the third party managing the site for Citibank, and agrees that any information provided in the Promo website will be subject to the confidentiality, data privacy, and security terms of Giftaway.
      2. agrees to receive SMS/text messages or e-mails in relation to the Promo, such as but not limited to SMS or e-mails confirming earning of prizes upon completion of qualified purchases.
      3. acknowledges that he/she has read, understood, and agrees, to the Promo’s Terms and Conditions.
    6. The Cardholder only needs to create one account on the Promo website. All his/her active Citi credit cards will be covered by that account.
  6. Rewards Auction:

    1. Qualified and registered cardholders will be entitled to bid for auction items in the promo website using their available points, miles or rebates.
    2. Auction items are available for bid every Friday during the promo period. Bidding starts at 12nn and ends at 9pm Philippine time. Please see below schedule for the Rewards Auction:

    3. A starting bid will be indicated per auction item and the qualified cardholder needs to place a bid above the starting bid.
    4. The highest bid for the auction item will be updated on the promo website every time someone bids on the auction item/s.
    5. Cardholders will have unlimited chances of bid until the end of the Auction schedule.
    6. A confirmation notification will appear after a cardholder placed a bid. Clicking on the confirm button means that you can no longer cancel the bid placed on the item/s.
    7. Cardholder with the highest bid at the end of the bidding period will receive an email and SMS notification after Citibank has verified available and valid points for redemption.
  7. Flash Sale:

    1. Qualified and registered cardholders can enjoy up to 50% off their regular rewards redemption requirement on available items in the promo website.
    2. Cardholders can redeem their available points, miles or rebates to redeem sale items.
    3. Cardholder will receive an email and SMS notification of successfully purchased items after Citibank has verified available and valid points for redemption.
  8. Available points, miles and rebates and Deduction of Points:

    1. The Cardholders’ available rewards points, miles and rebates on the Promo Site will be as of end of the month before the launch date. This will be updated real time when you redeem in the Promo Site through the Auction and Flash Sale. But points, miles and rebates used outside the Promo Site will only be applied during the refresh of points in the first week of every month.
    2. If a cardholder has multiple cards with the same currency, Points/Rebates, rule and hierarchy of deduction will be the following

      Points:

      • 1 – Rewards Card
      • 2 – Core Classic
      • 3 – Core Gold
      • 4 – Core Platinum
      • 5 – Prestige Card

      Rebates:

      • 1 – Cash Back
      • 2 – Shell
  9. Game, Prizes and Redemption Process:

    1. Playing the Game

      1. Citi will conduct a game that allows Registered Cardholders with a chance to win prizes via the Promo website.
      2. The Cardholder must press the “Play Now” to start the Mystery Box game.
      3. The Promo website will give out clues about the blurred-out item.
      4. If the Cardholder successfully guesses what’s inside the Mystery Box, he/she will be prompted of the prize won real-time and may have the option to claim the prize upon winning or claim for later.
      5. A Cardholder may win more than once during the promo period, but only once every week. Maximum of 50 winners will be given prizes weekly.
    2. Items and Prizes

      1. Auction and Flash Sale Items will be fulfilled after the validation and deduction of Citibank of available points, miles and rebates.
      2. Once points, miles and rebates redeemed were confirmed valid and cardholder is in good credit standing during promo period, an SMS and email notification will be sent containing the link of the item won in the Auction or purchased in the Flash Sale.
      3. Some eGifts of Merchants in the Auction and Flash Sale site will be sent in multiple eGift vouchers via SMS and Email to complete the fulfillment of the whole amount won or redeemed.

    3. Redemption Process

      1. eGift Voucher/s are valid for use at the participating merchant specified on the Giftaway platform. The Cardholder can refer to the Giftaway website at www.giftaway.ph for details. Giftaway’s merchant list can change without prior notice and Citi shall not incur any liability for any changes that Giftaway may impose for this Promo.
      2. The Cardholder may do multiple redemptions per day within the Redemption Period.
      3. The eGift Voucher code/s must only be given to the store, delivery hotline personnel, or claimed via the merchant app/website once the Cardholder commits to use it. The prize or eGift Voucher code is for one-time use only.
      4. All terms and conditions relating to the prize or eGift Vouchers as indicated in the Giftaway website shall apply.
      5. Winners in the Auction and Cardholders who redeemed in the Flash Sale can opt to claim the Item/s at a later time via SMS or email that will be sent to them by Giftaway after confirmation that points were sufficient provided that they claim on or before June 21, 2023.
      6. Prizes are not valid in conjunction with other discounts, offers, privileges, or promotions.
      7. Prizes are transferable but not convertible to cash, cash advance, or kind. The eGift Voucher may be transferred to the Cardholder’s nominated recipient who is able to satisfy the requirements for the redemption of the eGift Voucher.
      8. The redemption of the Item/s are final. The Cardholder is responsible for inspecting the quality, redemption conditions, selected item/s, participating outlets, and expiry dates of the Prize/s upon redemption. The Cardholder will also be responsible for providing the correct information (mobile number and email address where eGift Voucher codes will be sent) and for safekeeping the eGift Voucher/s. Citi and the participating branches of Giftaway, or any of the participating merchant/s, shall not be obliged to change, refund or replace the eGift Voucher/s or Prize/s once redeemed, whether lost, damaged, or for whatever reason.
      9. The Cardholder’s account/s must be active and in good credit standing at the time of the game play, bidding and redemption. A Cardholder will be disqualified from playing the games and making redemptions in the event that his/her Card/s is/are not maintained in good credit standing; his/her Card/s is/are unpaid, become/s delinquent or is/are cancelled, not re-issued or terminated during the Promo Period; and/or his/her new Card/s is/are no longer active at the time of the redemption awarding.
  10. Citibank is not an agent of Giftaway, and/or any Giftaway merchant, and/or any participating merchant/s and makes no representation as to the quality of the goods and services provided. All feedback regarding the quality of the goods and services provided should be directed to Giftaway or any of the participating merchant/s. Clients may email support@giftaway.ph for their concerns.
  11. By accepting and/or using the Prize/s or eGift Voucher/s, the Cardholder agrees to hold Citi free and harmless from any loss, injury, or damage caused by or arising from his/her participation in the Promo or caused by or arising from his/her acceptance and/or use of the Prize/s or eGift Voucher/s.
  12. In case of dispute regarding the Cardholder’s eligibility, coverage of dates, etc., Citi’s decision will prevail, with concurrence of DTI. All questions or disputes regarding the Cardholder’s eligibility for the Promo or for any request will be resolved by Citi.
  13. Fraud, abuse or any unauthorized action relating to the credit card transaction, or the participation in the Promo, may result in the disqualification of the Cardholder from the Promo, suspension or cancellation of Card privileges or the charging of the cost of the Prize/s to the Cardholder’s Citi Card, at Citi’s discretion. This shall be without prejudice to any legal action that may be taken by Citi.
  14. These Terms and Conditions should be read together with the Citi Card Agreement and Citi PayLite Enabled by Global Payments Terms and Conditions, to produce a result that is harmonious and consistent. In the event of any inconsistency or conflict between the provisions of these Terms and Conditions, Citi PayLite Enabled by Global Payments Terms and Conditions and the Citi Card Agreement, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail in relation to the PayLite Installment Transaction availed under the Promo.
