This feature is available to Citibank checking and/or savings accountholders. The funds can be withdrawn from a Citibank checking or savings account. Kindly note that it cannot be withdrawn from a Citi credit card or a Citi Personal Loan.

Cardless withdrawal allows you to physically withdraw cash from Citibank ATMs in the Philippines, even without a debit card. Meanwhile, Funds Transfer means moving funds from one account to another.

To set up a cardless withdrawal, you must first have a Citibank Online account:

  • I already have a Citibank Online account.

    • That's great! Please log in through www.citibank.com.ph. Select Services and click "Cardless Cash Withdrawal."
    • Kindly fill out the details and confirm if correct.
    • You will receive a reference code that will be sent to your registered mobile number. This reference code will be used in the Citibank ATM for the Cardless Withdrawal. Once this is inputted in the ATM, a One-Time PIN (OTP) will be generated and sent to your registered mobile number. This OTP also needs to be entered in the ATM to complete the transaction. Once the cash has been successfully withdrawn, you will receive an SMS notification.
  • I don't have a Citibank Online account.

    • Registering is easy. If you have a smartphone, just download the Citi Mobile App through your device's app store. Once downloaded, just click "User Registration" and input the information required from there. If you do not have a smartphone, no problem! You can register at https://www.citibank.com.ph/PHGCB/JSO/reg/SetupRS.do, and follow the instructions from there.
    • Once you have an account, please logon. Select Services and click "Cardless Cash Withdrawal."
    • Kindly fill out the details and confirm if correct.
    • You will receive a reference code that will be sent to your registered mobile number. This reference code will be used in the Citibank ATM for the Cardless Withdrawal. Once this is inputted in the ATM, a One-Time PIN (OTP) will be generated and sent to your registered mobile number. This OTP also needs to be entered in the ATM to complete the transaction. Once the cash has been successfully withdrawn, you will receive an SMS notification.

No, you will not be able to. Before you can make a cardless withdrawal, please make sure that you have a valid and active debit card.

Yes it is. Cardless withdrawal goes through what we call a multi-factor authentication. This means that even before a cardless withdrawal can be set up it requires several authentication measures from the accountholder. These include entering your password on Citibank Online, and One-Time PINs. Meanwhile, a reference number and One-Time PIN are required before physical withdrawal. What's more, you are notified at every stage of the withdrawal.

Apart from all these, cardless withdrawal is also safe because it can help avoid card skimming. Card skimming is a type of fraud where your card may be replicated by fraudsters who place cameras and other unauthorized devices on ATMs.

The minimum amount per transaction is P1,000 or USD 100 while the maximum amount per transaction is P20,000 or USD 400. The maximum daily cardless withdrawal limit is PhP 50,000 or USD 1,000. Withdrawals must be made in denominations of P1,000 or USD 100.

Withdrawal can be done at any Citibank ATM in the Philippines only.

A transaction reference number is valid for 6 hours.

A transaction reference number can be cancelled in Citibank Online (under "Manage Cardless Cash Withdrawals" tab). Please also be advised that a transaction reference number expires 6 hours after its creation.

You may track the status of a cardless withdrawal through Citibank Online (under "Manage Cardless Cash Withdrawals" tab) or Citi Mobile App (in "History" page). Only pending or unsuccessful withdrawals will be shown in that tab/page. You will also receive an SMS once the cash has been withdrawn, reference number has expired, or if the reference number is about to expire.

You can request for the resend of the One-Time PIN (OTP) up to three (3) times by selecting the option on the ATM screen. Please note by generating an OTP for more than 3 times, the reference number shall be invalidated, and a new reference number will need to be created. An SMS alert shall be sent if the reference number is no longer valid.

You can enter the One-Time PIN (OTP) for a maximum of 4 times. Please note that inputting more than 4 incorrect OTPs, will invalidate the reference number, and a new reference number will need to be created. An SMS alert shall be sent if the reference number is no longer valid.

Yes, you can withdraw cash in USD from your US Dollar account.

You can only withdraw in PhP 1,000 from your designated Peso or EUR account and USD100 denominations from your designated USD account.

For your security, you will not be able to withdraw through cardless withdrawal if the card is blocked.

No, both the creation and cancellation of any request will need to be done via Citibank Online or Citi Mobile App. For your security, there also isn't any option to reset the reference number upon expiry after 6 hours or upon invalidation for 4 incorrect One-Time PIN entries or upon generation of an OTP for more than 3 times. In this case, you would need to make a new request for cardless withdrawal in Citibank Online or Citi Mobile App to generate another reference number.

Your account gets debited at the time of actual cash withdrawal from the ATM. Please note that the amount shall not be put on hold upon creation of the reference number. This means that you will need to ensure that you have sufficient funds at the time of withdrawal.

The reference number may be blocked if the One-Time PIN (OTP) has been inputted incorrectly for more than 4 times or if an OTP has been generated for more than 3 times. This is for your own security. In this case, you would need to make a new request for cardless withdrawal in Citibank Online or Citi Mobile App to generate another reference number.

Terms and conditions

Terms and Conditions for Cardless Cash Withdrawals

As used in these Terms and Conditions, "we", "our", "us", the "Bank" and "Citibank" refer to Citibank, N.A. (Philippine Branch). "You" and "your" refer to every person who opens an account with Citibank, in addition to any signers added at a later time. The term "Facility" refers to the Cardless Cash Withdrawal Facility of the Bank.

These Terms and Conditions shall be referred to as the agreement between you and the Bank governing the use of this Facility. By your use of this Facility, you agree that your Account/s and our relationship in respect thereof will be governed by these Terms and Conditions.

  • You hereby authorize the withdrawal of funds from your deposit account (savings account/current account) through the Facility. You authorize the Bank to process your instruction in accordance with the Bank's record of transactions as submitted by you through Citibank Online or the Citi Mobile App, to debit from your account your specified amount of funds corresponding to your withdrawal in Pesos (from Philippine Peso, US Dollar or Euro accounts) or in US Dollars (from US Dollar accounts).
  • You acknowledge, understand, and agree that withdrawals from your deposit account under this Facility may only be performed by you through a Citibank ATM in the Philippines; that the withdrawal will be transacted solely through the use of an authorization code that will be provided to you through your Citibank Online or Citi Mobile App account and a One-Time PIN (OTP) that will be sent to you; and that such withdrawal will be processed without the use of your Citi ATM/Debit Card or withdrawal slip/s.
  • The Facility may only be used for withdrawals from your deposit accounts and only at Citibank ATMs in the Philippines. The Facility is available only for withdrawal of Philippine Pesos, and for US Dollar accounts, of US Dollars.
  • The authorization code that will be provided to you through your Citibank Online or Citi Mobile App account shall only be valid for six (6) hours from the time it is generated. In the event that the authorization code expires or is cancelled or blocked, you may generate a new authorization code by logging-in again into your Citibank Online or Citi Mobile App account.
  • The One-Time PIN (OTP) shall only be valid within a period set by the Bank. In the event that you receive multiple OTPs, the latest OTP received by you shall be the valid code that you will use to continue your withdrawal transaction. Further, should the OTP expire, you may request for a new OTP to be sent by logging in a new session at the ATM.
  • Both the Authorization Code and OTP are needed to process your withdrawal transaction under this Facility. Without one of these, the transaction will not be processed.
  • For joint accounts: you declare under the penalty of perjury that your co-depositor/s is/are still living. All of your co-accountholders agree that all transactions done through the Facility will be binding on each of the accountholders, jointly and severally.
  • You accept full responsibility for all transactions processed through the use of the Facility, whether or not the transactions were made without your knowledge or without your authority, regardless if you authorize someone else to withdraw the cash on your behalf. You shall hold the Bank free and harmless from any and all losses, damages or liabilities that you suffer as a consequence or result of your disclosure and/or the discovery, whether deliberate or unintentional, of your Citibank Online or Citi Mobile User ID, password, authorization code, and/or the OTP.
  • For withdrawals made in Philippine Pesos from your US Dollar account or Euro account, the foreign currency exchange (FX) rate reflected on Citibank Online or the Citi Mobile App is only indicative and as such may change. The actual FX conversion rate shall be determined at the time of actual withdrawal at the ATM. By continuing to use this Facility, you acknowledge and understand this associated systemic risk and authorize the Bank to debit your account the equivalent amount of the transaction in US Dollars or Euros, as applicable.
  • No withdrawal slip may be generated at the end of the withdrawal; a confirmatory alert may be sent to you.
  • The amount available for withdrawal under the Facility shall be limited to the funds available in your account at the time of withdrawal, and to such amount specified by the Bank, which under no circumstances shall exceed the daily withdrawal limit of your Citibank ATM/Debit Card. Also, the Facility's maximum withdrawal per day will apply on a customer level, not on an account level.
  • Any cardless cash withdrawal will be taken against your total cardless cash withdrawal daily limit and total ATM withdrawal daily limit.
  • In case of disputes in respect of your eligibility, and the withdrawal, the Bank's decision will prevail.
  • You agree to assume all risks and obligations arising from the loss or misplacing of the mobile device, or the loss, misplacing or disclosure of the authorization code or the OTP. The Bank shall not be liable for any loss, damage or liability that you suffer if the authorization code and/or mobile device to which the OTP shall be/has been sent, is lost or misplaced, prior to the time you cancel the card-less withdrawal transaction on Citibank Online or Citi Mobile App.
  • Citibank reserves the right to discontinue granting the Facility without prior written notice to you. It may advise of the termination through an advisory in a Citibank branch or on Citibank Online. It may also advise you of any changes to the Facility's terms through applicable notices.
  • The above terms are in addition to the standard Citibank account terms and conditions. Citibank has the absolute discretion to amend or supplement any of the terms and conditions at any time by notifying you by way of posting in the branch premises, by email or by displaying the amended terms and conditions at www.citibank.com.ph or in any manner, as it may deem fit. Your continued use of the Facility after the amendment of the terms and conditions shall be construed and deemed as your acceptance of and agreement to the amended terms and conditions.
  • The Data Privacy Act of 2012 requires Citibank to secure your consent for the processing, sharing and profiling of your personal information. You hereby give your consent and agreement to Citi Processing, Profiling and Sharing of Data and Information along with Citi's Data Statement. Copies of the Consent provision and the Data Statement may be accessed at www.citibank.com.ph/DataPrivacyStatement.
