Terms and Conditions

  1. The Promo (“Promo”) will run from May 3, 2022 to July 31, 2022 (“Promo Period”):

    1. Registration Period: May 3, 2022 to July 30, 2022
    2. Spend Period: May 4, 2022 to July 31, 2022
    3. Redemption Period: May 18 to September 30, 2022
  2. The Promo is open to Principal cardholders of Citi Credit Cards (“Card”) that have been locally issued by Citibank, N.A. Philippine Branch (“Citi”), are active and in good credit standing with available relationship limit and account credit limit, as applicable, at the time of purchase and conversion; who have a registered valid and updated unique mobile number and unique email address with Citibank; who received an SMS and/or email from Citibank regarding this particular promo offer; and who are not prohibited under applicable Gifts, Anti-Bribery and Corruption laws, regulations, and policies from participating in and/or qualifying for this Promo (“Cardholder”).

    Incumbent government officials or employees, whether elected or appointed, corporate accounts and US persons (i.e., a citizen or lawful resident, green card holder of the United States of America) are not eligible to participate in this Promo.

    This promo is not available to individuals resident in the European Union, European Economic Area, Switzerland, Guernsey, Jersey, Monaco, San Marino, Vatican, The Isle of Man or the UK.

  3. Officers and employees of Citibank N.A Philippine Branch, and their relatives up to the second degree of consanguinity and affinity, or of its advertising and PR agencies, and of its third party and service providers (Giftaway, Inc.), with direct involvement in the launch of the Promo, are not eligible to participate in the Promo.
  4. It is the responsibility of the Cardholder to update his/her contact information with Citibank by calling CitiPhone at (02) 8995-9999. Cardholders whose contact information in Citibank’s records are not updated, who have the same mobile/phone number or email address as another cardholder/account in Citi records, or who have opted out of receiving marketing communications from Citi based on Citi’s records, and new Cardholders (whose credit card account was opened and activated from March 25, 2022 onwards) will not receive the communication about the Promo.
  5. Promo Registration:

    1. To qualify for the Promo (“Promo”), the Cardholder must: register and create an account on the Promo website ( during the registration period. A unique Registration Code will be sent to him/her together with the promo website URL via an SMS/e-mail. Upon accessing the site, s/he must input his/her Registration Code, the last six (6) digits of his/her active Citi card, valid email address, and valid mobile number.
    2. To successfully register and create an account, the Cardholder must enter the correct registration code and correct last six (6) digits of his/her active Citi credit card. Only successfully registered accounts (where the Registration Code entered matches the correct last six (6) digits of active Citi card) will qualify for the Promo. Cardholders who successfully registered to join the Promo will receive an email confirmation containing their registration details at the email address they registered in the Promo website.
    3. Citi will not be able to change, reset, or alter any registration information once these are submitted by the Cardholder in the Promo website. The Cardholder shall be responsible for the safekeeping of his/her registration information.
    4. The Cardholder will start to earn the corresponding eCoupon codes (“Playcode”) for qualified and posted purchases the day after successfully registering and creating an account on the Promo website.
    5. By registering for the Promo, the Cardholder:

      1. is responsible for providing his/her personal information and other information that may be required by Giftaway, the third party managing the site for Citibank, and agrees that any information provided in the Promo website will be subject to the confidentiality, data privacy, and security terms of Giftaway.
      2. agrees to receive SMS/text messages or e-mails in relation to the Promo, such as but not limited to SMS or e-mails confirming earning of prizes upon completion of qualified purchases.
      3. acknowledges that he/she has read, understood, and agrees, to the Promo’s Terms and Conditions.
    6. The Cardholder only needs to create one account on the Promo website. All his/her active Citi credit cards and the qualified retail purchases on those credit cards will be covered by that account.
  6. Qualified Purchases and Earning of the Playcode:

    1. A registered Cardholder will be entitled to earn Playcode/s for qualified and posted transactions that meet the minimum purchase amount specified below and that are charged to the Card starting the day after successful registration on the Promo website (“Qualified Spend”).

Only one (1) transaction meeting the minimum spend requirement per unique merchant per Citi principal cardholder (regardless of the number of Citi cards a Cardholder has) per day, will qualify for the Promo. In case of multiple transactions on the same day with same merchant by the same Citi Cardholder (whether charged to one card or across several cards, and whether charged to the principal card or the supplementary card), only one (1) transaction will qualify for the Promo. Splitting of a single transaction into several approvals is strictly not allowed. Any transaction that is determined to be a result of splitting will NOT earn a Playcode.
    3. The Playcode/s will be awarded and uploaded to the Cardholder’s registered account on the Promo website, based on the schedule below:

The following transactions will not qualify to earn the Playcode/s: PayLite for Bank Transactions, Citi Speed Cash, Cash Advance availment, Balance Transfer, Citi FlexiBill, OneBill transactions, PayLite after purchase, existing PayLite amortizations, all types of bills payments (except those done via Citibank Online or the Citi Mobile® App charged to Citi credit cards), auto-debit enrolments, auto-debit transactions, Citi PayAll transactions, credit card fees and charges, Citi Card Protection/Credit Shield, transactions from casinos or from merchants engaged in gambling; transactions at merchants specifically engaged in wholesale and distribution (example: warehouse clubs, networking companies, multi-level marketing entities); Mail Order/ Telephone Order (MO/TO) transactions such as but not limited to those done by travel agency or online aggregator; transactions involving cryptocurrency and other similar financial instruments; transactions from stock trading, foreign exchange trading, financial trading services, remittance and the like; mobile payment/mobile wallet transactions and online payment system (such as but not limited to GCash, PayMaya, Grab/GrabPay, PayPal, PayMongo,, and the like); payments made to social media platforms, cloud service and software providers; transactions for business purposes or for non-personal purposes such as but not limited to payment services, professional services, and the like; transactions that are subsequently cancelled or refunded.
    5. The Supplementary Card’s purchases will earn Playcode/s for the Principal Cardholder if the Principal Card is qualified and has successfully registered for the Promo. The eligibility of the Supplementary Cardholder’s purchases to earn Playcodes is dependent on the Principal Card’s credit standing.
    6. To earn the Playcode/s, the Cardholder’s Card/s must be active and without any past due obligation during the Promo Period until the awarding of the Playcode. Unpaid and/or delinquent accounts will not be eligible for the Promo.
  7. Earning and Usage of Playcode/s:

    1. A Cardholder who has successfully registered and created an account on May 3, 2022 to July 30, 2022, and who has made qualified purchase/s, can check his/her account on the Promo website for earned Playcode/s starting May 18, 2022.
    2. Earned Playcode/s during the Promo Period can be used to play the game which is available at the Promo redemption website until September 30, 2022. One (1) Playcode is equivalent to one (1) game play or attempt.
    3. Every time the Cardholder presses the “Play Now” option, one (1) Playcode will automatically be tagged as used or played even if the Cardholder fails to complete the game for any reason.
  8. Game, Prizes and Redemption Process:

    1. Playing the Game

      1. Citi will conduct a game that allows Cardholders with earned Playcode/s a chance to win prizes via the Promo website.
      2. Earned Playcode/s during the Promo Period may be used and played until September 30, 2022.
      3. The Cardholder must press the “Play Now” option to use a Playcode to start a new game.
      4. The Cardholder shall choose two (2) random blocks to flip and make a match to win a prize.
      5. If the Cardholder successfully draws a match, he/she will be prompted of the prize won real-time and may have the option to claim the prize upon winning or claim for later.
      6. A Cardholder may win more than once.
      7. If the Cardholder does not draw a match, the Playcode will be considered used and the Cardholder will be prompted to try again, if the Cardholder has any remaining Playcode/s.
    2. Prizes

      1. There are over two hundred and fifty thousand (250,000) prizes to be won for the duration of the Promo.
      2. To claim the prize or eGift Voucher via the Promo website, the Cardholder’s Card/s must be active and without any past due obligation during the Promo Period. Unpaid and/or delinquent accounts will not be eligible for the Promo.
    3. Redemption Process

      1. To claim the prize, the Cardholder must click on the redeem option that is displayed in the Promo website (
      2. Redeemed prizes or eGift Voucher/s are valid for use at the participating merchant specified on the Giftaway platform. The Cardholder can refer to the Giftaway website at for details. Giftaway’s merchant list can change without prior notice.
      3. The Cardholder may do multiple redemptions per day within the Redemption Period.
      4. The prizes or eGift Voucher code/s must only be given to the store, delivery hotline personnel, or claimed via the merchant app/website once the Cardholder commits to use it. The prize or eGift Voucher code is for one-time use only.
      5. All terms and conditions relating to the prize or eGift Vouchers as indicated in the Giftaway website shall apply.
      6. Winners can opt to claim the Prize/s later via provided that they claim on or before September 30, 2022. Prizes which are unclaimed and unused after September 30, 2022 shall be forfeited in favor of Citi.
      7. Prizes are not valid in conjunction with other discounts, offers, privileges, or promotions.
      8. Prizes are transferable but not convertible to cash, cash advance, or kind. The eGift Voucher may be transferred to the Cardholder’s nominated recipient who is able to satisfy the requirements for the redemption of the eGift Voucher.
      9. The redemption of the Prize/s are final. The Cardholder is responsible for inspecting the quality, redemption conditions, selected item/s, participating outlets, and expiry dates of the Prize/s upon redemption. The Cardholder will also be responsible for providing the correct information (mobile number and email address where eGift Voucher codes will be sent) and for safekeeping the eGift Voucher/s. Citi and the participating branches of Giftaway, or any of the participating merchant/s, shall not be obliged to change, refund or replace the eGift Voucher/s or Prize/s once redeemed, whether lost, damaged, or for whatever reason.

      The Cardholder’s account/s must be active and in good credit standing at the time of the game play and redemption. A Cardholder who earned Playcode/s will be disqualified from playing the game in the event that his/her Card/s is/are not maintained in good credit standing; his/her Card/s is/are unpaid, become/s delinquent or is/are cancelled, not re-issued or terminated during the Promo Period; and/or his/her new Card/s is/are no longer active at the time of the Playcode awarding.

  9. Citibank is not an agent of Giftaway, and/or any Giftaway merchant, and/or any participating merchant/s and makes no representation as to the quality of the goods and services provided. All feedback regarding the quality of the goods and services provided should be directed to Giftaway or any of the participating merchant/s.
  10. By accepting and/or using the Prize/s or eGift Voucher/s, the Cardholder agrees to hold Citi free and harmless from any loss, injury, or damage caused by or arising from his/her participation in the Promo or caused by or arising from his/her acceptance and/or use of the Prize/s or eGift Voucher/s.
  11. In case of dispute regarding the Cardholder’s eligibility, coverage of dates, etc., Citi’s decision will prevail, with concurrence of DTI. All questions or disputes regarding the Cardholder’s eligibility for the Promo or for any request will be resolved by Citi.
  12. Fraud, abuse or any unauthorized action relating to the credit card transaction, or the participation in the Promo, may result in the disqualification of the Cardholder from the Promo, suspension or cancellation of Card privileges or the charging of the cost of the Prize/s to the Cardholder’s Citi Card, at Citi’s discretion. This shall be without prejudice to any legal action that may be taken by Citi.
  13. These Terms and Conditions should be read together with the Citi Card Agreement and Citi PayLite Enabled by Global Payments Terms and Conditions, to produce a result that is harmonious and consistent. In the event of any inconsistency or conflict between the provisions of these Terms and Conditions, Citi PayLite Enabled by Global Payments Terms and Conditions and the Citi Card Agreement, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail in relation to the PayLite Installment Transaction availed under the Promo.
