Frequently Asked Questions

If you already have a Citibank Online account, simply input the same username and password to log in to the Citi Mobile® App.

If you don't have a Citibank Online account yet, just click on the "User Registration" link below the "Log On" button to register in Citibank Online. Just follow the steps required to create your Citibank Online account.

To log in to the Citi Mobile® App, you need to input your Citibank Online username and password. If you have forgotten your username and/or password, kindly follow these steps:

  • Visit www.citibank.com.ph using a desktop/PC or laptop.
  • Click on the "Log On" button.
  • Choose the "Forgot your Username" or "Forgot your Password" link from the Log On panel and follow the steps required.

To create your Citibank Online username and/or password, kindly follow these steps:

  • Click on the "User Registration" link in the "Log On" page of the Citi Mobile® App.
  • If you are a bank customer with an existing Citi Checking or Savings account, please choose the "Checking/Saving/Ready Credit" option and input your ATM/Debit Card number and its corresponding 4-digit PIN. Then click on "Continue".
  • If you are a credit card customer, please choose the "Credit Card" option and input the credit card number, its corresponding CVV and your date of birth. Then click on "Continue".
  • Input the One-Time PIN (OTP) that you will receive on your primary mobile number registered in our system.
  • Proceed to create your username and password.

To ensure the security of your account, please follow these requirements in creating your Citibank Online Password:

  • Must be 6 characters or more.
  • Must have at least one number and one letter.
  • Must not contain 3 or more consecutive identical characters (e.g. 111, aaa).
  • Must not contain 3 or more consecutive sequential characters (e.g. 123, abc)
  • Must not be the same as your Username.

To ensure that your username is unique and secure, please follow these requirements in creating your Citibank Online Username:

  • Must be 6 characters or more.
  • Must have at least one number and one letter.
  • Must not contain 3 or more consecutive identical characters (e.g. 111, aaa).
  • Must not contain 3 or more consecutive sequential characters (e.g. 123, abc).
  • Please choose a Username that you can easily remember.

Access your Citibank Online account anytime, anywhere. With the Citi Mobile® App, you can do the following:

  • Transfer funds to another bank abroad.
  • Pay your bills.

Citi Mobile® Snapshot lets you check your account balance without the hassle of signing in. Simply open the Citi Mobile® App and your balance will be displayed.

You can view your account balances and the four most recent transactions on your Citi Checking, Savings, Time Deposit and Credit Card accounts without entering your Citibank Online username and password every time. However, you still need to input your Citibank Online password at least every 30 days.

For your protection, we encourage you to add a passcode or password to your mobile device. Please note that you can disable Citi Mobile® Snapshot any time by changing your app settings.

Simply log on to your Citi Mobile® App and go to "Settings" (located on the upper left portion of the navigation menu). Click on "Enable / Disable Citi Mobile® Snapshot" and just follow the steps required.

You can view your account balances and the four most recent transactions on your Citi Checking, Savings, Time Deposit and Credit Card accounts without entering your Citibank Online username and password every time. However, you still need to input your Citibank Online password at least every 30 days.

To get more account details or to make a transaction, you will need to log in to the Citi Mobile® App.

One-Time PIN (OTP) is a unique six-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN). It acts as a user authentication tool to protect your online transactions and your login credentials. You may get your OTP via SMS to your primary mobile number registered in our system, your Citibank Online Security Device, or your Citi Mobile® App.

OTP will only be sent to your primary mobile number registered in our system.

If you wish to change or update your contact details, just log on to www.citibank.com.ph or call CitiPhone at 995 9999 995 9999.

One-Time PIN via Citi Mobile® App generates OTP that you can use for both your online and mobile banking transactions. Simply download the Citi Mobile® App on your Apple and Android device for free and register your mobile device.

The Citibank Online Security Device (OSD) is a gadget that generates OTP. In just a click, you can get your PIN to access your account information or make transactions.

A unique Online Security Device is assigned per customer. Registration is required to activate the device.

This device is available for P500. To order, you can call CitiPhone at 995 9999 995 9999 or go to the Citibank branch nearest you.

  • What is Touch ID?

    Touch ID is a feature that enables login authentication based on fingerprints stored on your Apple iPhone device; which is an alternative login mechanism to Citi's User ID and Password.

  • Which phone models are eligible for Touch ID activation?

    This feature is available on Apple iPhone 5S and newer. Android devices are not supported currently.

  • How secure is Touch ID?

    Your fingerprint information is stored on your Apple device's Secure Element. Once you enable Touch ID as a login method for your Citi Mobile® App, an encrypted token is created and stored in Citi Mobile® App and our Citi system. No login information is stored on the Citi Mobile® App

  • How to enable Touch ID for Citi Mobile® App?

    1. If you have enabled Touch ID on your iPhone Citi Mobile® App will automatically prompt you to enable Touch ID with a pop-up

      Step 1: Sign in to your account using your registered User ID and password

      Step 2: Click 'Yes' to accept the pop up prompting your enrollment for Touch ID

      Step 3: Tick the box to 'Allow my User ID to be stored' and select 'Enable' to activate Touch ID

      Step 4: To verify your identity, you will need to enter the OTP triggered to your registered mobile as an SMS

      Step 5: Touch ID has been successfully 'Activated'. Push 'continue' to proceed

    2. If you have not enabled Touch ID on your iPhone

      If Touch ID is not enabled on your iPhone, go to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode to turn it on.

  • How to disable Touch ID for Citi Mobile® App?

    • Sign in to your account using your registered User ID and password
    • Click on the menu button on the main page
    • From the left hand navigation panel, select 'Settings'
    • Click on Touch ID sensor
    • Select the 'Disable' button and reactivate login by keying in your User ID and password
  • How long is my Touch ID Sensor enrollment for Citi Mobile® App valid?

    Enrollment of Touch ID Sensor for Citi Mobile® App is valid for 30 days. If you have not logged into the Citi Mobile® App by manually entering the password, Touch ID Sensor will be disabled for Citi Mobile® App. This will not impact any other Touch ID Enrollment you have on your device.

  • I have 5 fingerprints stored in my phone. Do all have them have access to my Citibank account?

    Touch ID recognizes all fingerprints registered in your device. For security reasons, we recommend that you do not register third party finger prints in your device. This is to protect not just your Citibank account but the rest of your personal details in your phone.

  • Will Touch ID sensor work when I am overseas?

    Yes, Touch ID will still work while overseas. You just need to reactivate the Touch ID function whenever you change service providers.

  • Will Touch ID Sensor for Citi Mobile® App be disabled once I change my mobile number?

    Changing the mobile number will not disable Touch ID sensor as long as SIM card and the service provider remains the same.

  • Why was my Touch ID Turned off?

    There are a few reasons why your Touch ID may have been turned off:

    • You have changed your service provider
    • You have recently changed your User ID or Password
    • You have not logged into your Citi Mobile® App by entering your password for the past 30 days
    • You might have changed your SIM card
    • Your online account is locked because you have exceeded the maximum number of password tries
    • You have entered the wrong OTP when signed on for 3 times
    • You have enabled Touch ID sensor for your account on a different device
    • Your Citibank User ID is deleted in our system
