  • What is Touch ID / Fingerprint Authentication?

    Touch ID and Fingerprint Authentication are features that enable you to securely log in to the Citi Mobile® App using your fingerprint/s stored in your Apple iPhone and Android device. These are login mechanism which are alternatives to Citi's User ID and Password.

  • What is Face ID?

    Face ID is a feature that enables you to securely log in to the Citi Mobile® App based on the Face ID data stored on an Apple iPhone X or newer. This is an alternative login mechanism.

  • How secure are Touch ID, Fingerprint Authentication, and Face ID?

    Your fingerprint and Face ID information is stored on your Apple or Android device's Secure Element. Once you enable Touch ID, Fingerprint Authentication, or Face ID as a login method for your Citi Mobile® App, an encrypted token is created and stored in Citi Mobile® App and our Citi system. No login information is stored on the Citi Mobile® App.

  • How long is my Touch ID, Fingerprint Authentication, or Face ID Sensor enrollment for Citi Mobile® App valid?

    Enrollment of Touch ID Sensor, Fingerprint Authentication, or Face ID Sensor for Citi Mobile® App is valid for 30 days. If you have not logged into the Citi Mobile® App by manually entering the password at least once every 180 days, Touch ID Sensor, Fingerprint Authentication, or Face ID Sensor will be disabled for Citi Mobile® App. This will not impact any other biometric login enrollment you have on your device.

  • Will the Touch ID Sensor, Fingerprint Authentication, or Face ID Sensor for Citi Mobile® App be disabled once I change my mobile number?

    Changing the mobile number will not disable the Touch ID, Fingerprint Authentication, or Face ID sensor as long as the mobile phone, SIM card, and the service provider remain the same.

  • What is a Push Notification?

    A Push Notification is a secure and convenient way of receiving the latest information and reminders regarding your banking and/or credit card account/s via your Citi Mobile® App. Push notifications pop up on your mobile device when you are connected to the Internet or a cellular mobile data network.

    As long as you are connected to the Internet or a cellular mobile data network, you will still receive Push Notifications even if you are travelling abroad, if something is wrong with your SIM card, or if you have changed your SIM card.

    As an alternative way to receive your Citi Alerts® via SMS, Push Notifications are stored in your Citi Mobile® App and Citibank Online® account for 30 days.

  • Where will I see the alerts that were sent to my mobile phone via Push Notifications?

    If you have a Citi banking account:

    Login and click on bell icon at the top right corner of your account summary.

    If you have a Citi credit card only:

    Login and click on bell icon at the top right corner of your account summary.

  • How long will the alerts be stored in my Citi Mobile® App? How can I delete these messages?

    Push Notifications will be retained in your Citi Mobile® App and Citibank Online® account for 30 calendar days after you receive them. You will not be able to delete any Push Notifications from your Citi Mobile® App.

  • I have just enrolled for Push Notifications. When will the service be activated for my use?

    Your alerts via Push Notifications will be activated on the next business day after your enrollment.

  • How can I choose which Push Notifications I am enrolled in?

    If you have a Citi banking account:

    Login > Profile & Settings > Alerts & Notifications > select the alerts you want to receive via Push Notifications > Save.

    If you have a Citi credit card only:

    Login > Profile & Settings > Alerts & Notifications > select the alerts you want to receive via Push Notifications > Save.

  • Do I have to pay for this service?

    No, Push Notifications are free for all Citi clients.

  • Will I still receive e-mail alerts if I enroll in Push Notifications?

    Yes, you will still receive the e-mail alerts you are enrolled in even after enrolling in Push Notifications.

  • Will I still receive SMS alerts if I enroll to Push Notifications?

    No, if you enroll in Push Notifications, you will no longer receive SMS alerts. Enrolling in Push Notifications will automatically replace the SMS alerts that you are enrolled to.

  • If I do not want to receive all types of alerts via Push Notifications, can I receive some alerts via Push Notifications and some alerts via SMS and/or e-mail?

    Yes, you may choose via which channel (Push Notification, SMS, and/or e-mail) you receive your Citi Alerts. Here’s how you can manage your Alerts:

    To choose which SMS and E-mail Alerts you are enrolled in:

    Log in to Citibank Online® (citibank.com.ph) > Services > Profile & Settings > Citi Alerts > Manage Alerts.

    To choose which Push Notification Alerts you are enrolled in:

    If you have a Citi banking account:

    Login > Profile & Settings > Alerts & Notifications > select the alerts you want to receive via Push Notifications > Save

    If you have a Citi credit card only:

    Login > Profile & Settings > Alerts & Notifications > select the alerts you want to receive via Push Notifications > Save

  • If I change the threshold amount of my ATM withdrawal alert in Push Notifications, will it also change the threshold amount of the corresponding e-mail alert?

    Yes, changing the ATM withdrawal threshold amount in Citi Mobile® App will change the ATM Withdrawal threshold across all types of Alert delivery.

    For example, if your current ATM withdrawal alert threshold limit is Php 5,000 and you change the limit to Php 10,000, you will receive an ATM withdrawal alert only when the amount of transaction is greater than Php 10,000.

  • I lost my mobile phone. How do I disable Citi Mobile® Token?

    There are three ways to do it:

    • Log in to your Citibank Online account and follow this path: Services > Profile & Settings > Cancel Citi Mobile® Token Registration.
    • Enable Citi Mobile® Token on another mobile device. Citi Mobile® Token will automatically be disabled on the mobile phone you lost.
    • Call CitiPhone at (63) 2 8995 9999.

  • Will I still be able to see my Push Notifications if I changed my phone or device?

    Yes, when you download the Citi Mobile® App, log-in to your account, and enroll to Push Notifications on your new phone or device, you will be able to see your Push Notifications for the last 30 days in the “My Notifications” screen.

  • If I changed my phone or device, how do I get Push Notifications on my new phone or device?

    To get Push Notifications on your new device if you had previously enrolled to Push Notifications on your old device:

    Delete your Citi Mobile® App on your old phone > download the Citi Mobile® App on your new phone > enroll to Push Notifications.

  • Will I still receive Push Notifications when I’m abroad?

    Yes, even if you are travelling overseas, as long as you have connection to the Internet or a cellular mobile data network, you will receive Push Notifications.

  • Why do I sometimes not receive Push Notifications?

    When your mobile phone is not connected to a stable Internet connection or a cellular mobile data network, you will not receive your Push Notifications.

  • I already enrolled in Push Notifications; why am I not receiving any Push Notifications?

    If you cannot enable Push Notifications on a device, it could be because another user has already enabled Push Notifications in the Citi Mobile® App on this device. A device can only have one customer enrolled in Push Notification in the Citi Mobile® App to ensure the security of your banking and/or credit card account information and activities.

    If you would like to enable Push Notifications on this device for your account, you can either:

    • Ask the other user who has enabled Push Notifications on this device to disable it
    • Delete and reinstall the Citi Mobile app, then log on to Citi Mobile® App > Settings > Manage Push Notifications > Manage Notifications > Switch on/off the specific alerts for Push Notifications

    We recommended that you only enable Push Notifications on the device that you commonly use.

  • Why did I suddenly stop receiving Push Notifications?

    You might suddenly stop receiving Push Notification:

    • If your mobile phone is not connected to the Internet nor a cellular mobile data network;
    • If you de-enrolled in Push Notifications in your Citi Mobile® App;
    • If your Citi Mobile® App is not upgraded with the latest version;
    • If you deleted the Citi Mobile® App from your mobile phone / device;
    • If you downloaded Citi Mobile® App and enrolled for Push Notifications on another device.
    • If you are still unable to receive Push Notifications, please call CitiPhone at (63) 2 89959999 (for Metro Manila) or 234 9999 (for Metro Cebu), and a CitiPhone officer will be available to assist you from 9AM to 8PM daily.
