1.	What is a “chip” credit card?

	A chip credit card has a state of the art microchip embedded on the card. The microchip can protect you from credit card cloning as it makes it harder to copy your personal and account information.

2.	What is cloning?

	Cloning is an occurrence when your personal and account information are fraudulently copied and transferred to a fake card.

3.	What happens when I make a payment using my chip credit card?

	Your chip credit card will be inserted into the credit card terminal instead of swiped. Upon approval of the transaction, you will be requested to sign on the charge slips to complete the purchase transaction. If the terminal being used does not have a slot for a chip, your credit card may still be swiped.

4.	Can I use the chip credit card overseas?

	Yes, you can. In fact, some stores in Europe prefer to accept credit cards with the chip.

5.	Can I use the chip credit card for online purchases and to withdraw instant cash from ATMs?

	Yes, you can. For online purchases, the same payment process will apply. For Cash Advance transactions, you will need your 4-digit Cash Advance PIN for ATM usage. If you have forgotten your Cash Advance PIN, please call our 24-Hour CitiPhone at +63 2 995 9999 to request for a new PIN. Also, please note that the Cash Advance availment fees and interest charges will apply.

6.	When will I get my chip credit card?

	Your chip credit card will be delivered to you before your current card expires.

7.	What if I want to receive my chip credit card before my current card expires?

	You may request for one by calling our 24-Hour CitiPhone. A replacement fee of P400 will apply.

8.	Is there an increase in my Annual Membership Fee if I convert my card to have a chip?

	No, your annual membership fee will remain the same.

9.	What will happen to my One Bill enrollments, PayLite installment plans and/or other recurring payment arrangements?

	Any existing One Bill enrollments and PayLite installment plans will remain. If you have any auto-debit arrangements enrolled directly with the merchant such as gym memberships and insurance premiums, please make sure to update them regarding your new expiry date, as needed.

Keep your ATM transaction slips and don't leave these lying around. Never give your ATM card to just anyone.

Protect your checks.

When receiving a new check book, see if there are missing leaves in the series.
Do not pre-sign any leaves in your check book.
Cross your checks so encashment can only be done in the real beneficiary's bank account.
Avoid depositing or encashing checks not directly issued to you.
